Who we are

Kaimoku started with my own email. For years my domain lived on the platform of a company I co-founded to host email for service providers and businesses. When that company wound down, I had to find my domain a new home, and I wanted to do more than move it. I wanted to make email better.

I have been building and running email for more than thirty years. It began at NASA Headquarters, where I ran a Control Data system that distributed mail across the organizations there. I went on to build email platforms for service providers, including the first for Charter Communications and for Kabel NRW in Germany.

Later I moved into anti-spam work, at Cloudmark and then at Facebook, where I managed the company’s email infrastructure and represented it on the board of M3AAWG, the messaging industry’s anti-abuse working group. At Proofpoint, I supported the infrastructure behind teams working on email protection.

Kaimoku Technologies is where I am putting what those years taught me.
